Compassion in Action: Empowering Recovery, Restoring Hope

The Eswatini Nazarene Health Institutions (ENHI) proudly celebrates an inspiring act of generosity by Raleigh Fitkin Memorial (RFM) Hospital Orthopedic Assistant, Mayibongwe Dlamini, who has donated two sets of crutches to the hospital's Orthopedic Department.

While seemingly simple, these mobility aids will make a profound difference in the lives of patients facing financial hardship. The crutches will be made available to the neediest patients, enabling them to continue their recovery journey with dignity, confidence, and greater independence. For many, this donation represents more than physical support - it is a source of hope and encouragement during a challenging time.

Dlamini's thoughtful contribution embodies the very essence of ENHI's values. Through his compassion, servant leadership and commitment to the well-being of others, he has demonstrated that quality healthcare extends beyond clinical treatment; it is also about caring for people, responding to their needs and uplifting communities.

This remarkable gesture reminds us that every individual has the power to create meaningful change. By investing in the recovery of others, Dlamini has strengthened the Orthopedic Department's ability to serve patients and has set a powerful example of what it means to live out ENHI's mission every day.

ENHI extends its sincere gratitude to Mr. Dlamini for this noble act of kindness. May his generosity inspire many others to join us in building healthier communities and transforming lives through compassionate care.

Together, we are restoring mobility, renewing hope, and changing lives - one patient at a time.

Empowering Skills, Strengthening Systems, and Building One ENHI

At Eswatini Nazarene Health Institutions (ENHI), we are committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning across all departments. Recently, our IT students and interns, under the capable supervision of the ENHI IT Team, led a series of impactful IT Fundamentals Skills Training workshops for teams in Laundry, Maintenance, Housekeeping and Biomedical Services.
This initiative was remarkable not only for the quality of the training provided, but also for the exceptional brilliance, maturity, and professionalism demonstrated by these young individuals. They approached this responsibility with great dedication, proving that when talent is nurtured, it can drive real and meaningful change.
The primary aim of this initiative was to bridge the digital skills gap by equipping staff with practical, hands-on knowledge to enhance internal communication, improve reporting accuracy and streamline operational workflows.
The training focused on strengthening computer literacy and improving day-to-day digital efficiency across essential support functions. It was delivered with clarity, patience and a genuine commitment to uplifting colleagues. The workshops were a tremendous success, fostering confidence in the use of digital tools and reinforcing the value of peer-to-peer learning within our Institution.
Beyond benefiting the staff, they trained, the students and interns themselves gained invaluable real-world experience. They learned how to communicate complex technical concepts in accessible ways, manage logistics, adapt to diverse learning needs, and conduct themselves with the highest levels of professionalism and ethical responsibility. Their teamwork throughout the planning and ex*****on of these workshops was inspiring and exemplified the collaborative spirit we strive to cultivate.
This achievement reflects the Institution’s ongoing commitment to digital transformation and highlights the power of internal collaboration in driving service excellence and operational efficiency.
We are immensely proud of our IT students and interns and deeply grateful for the energy, creativity, and passion they invested in this work. They have set a standard for the entire Institution to aspire to.
It is important to note that this is not a one-time event. The IT Department is committed to making skills development an ongoing and structured initiative. Future training programs will continue to be designed and delivered in partnership with our students and interns, covering a broader range of digital competencies as our Institution evolves. This approach forms part of a deliberate long-term strategy to build a digitally ready workforce capable of meeting the demands of a rapidly changing healthcare and technology landscape.

Together, we are building a more connected, capable and future-ready healthcare system - with our students and interns leading the way.

Healing demands more than just medicine - a sentiment beautifully demonstrated by the Women's Wing of God at Work Church under the leadership of Bishop Zachariah Mthethwa. The group donated clothing and toiletries to Eswatini Nazarene Health Institutions (ENHI) for young patients aged between three months and six years who are receiving care at Raleigh Fitkin Memorial (RFM) Hospital.
This thoughtful contribution, made possible through a special Mother's Day initiative, was warmly received by ENHI Chief Executive Officer, Mazwi Mavuso. He praised the donation as a testament to love, kindness and community solidarity, especially at a time when many families are facing economic hardship.
Mavuso emphasized that such acts of kindness make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need and reaffirmed that ENHI deeply values partnerships that foster care, hope and dignity for patients and communities.
