Minister of Education Lady Howard Mabuza has announced that the current schools' mid-term break has been extended & schools will now reopen on Tuesday, 5 July 2022. This means that pupils will no longer be expected to resume classes this coming Tuesday.

Minister Mabuza: "This decision was made
following consultations with education stakeholders, who made a formal request to the Ministry to allow teachers & pupils to rest a bit longer. The rest of the revised school calendar, however, remains the same."

Minister Mabuza: "The Ministry would like to thank parents, teachers and pupils for their dedication and commitment since the opening of our ‘unusual’ first term on 5 April 2022."
