Forsaker is a progressive rock band led by guitarist and composer Daniel Khair. Formed in the summer of 2012 by lead guitarist and songwriter Daniel Khair.
The band went through a number of different line-up changes, which included a number of prominent local musicians like Miki Bajer, Majed Tamimi, and Ruslan Shweid. Daniel Khair has been the only constant member. Forsaker is known for its distinctive, melodic instrumental style that often features dense, intricate passages and trade-off guitar solos, and for recurring lyrical themes including war,
spirituality, personal relationships, and religion. Forsaker's experimental, sophisticated and progressive style has been the basis of everything the band plays. In early 2014, due to the loss of the band's drummer and the growing tension between the remaining band members, Forsaker decided to take an indefinite hiatus. Later that year, Daniel Khair reemerged again declaring that he's going to be leading a solo project continuing from his work with Forsaker, while the rest of the band split roads. In early of 2015, Daniel Khair disclosed that Forsaker is paused indefinitely for the foreseeable future. Forsaker is a Syrian progressive rock band from Damascus, formed in 2012. Though the group has been through several personnel changes, singer, guitarist, and songwriter Daniel Khair has remained Forsaker's driving force throughout its career.
