في بلدة معلولا، خاض أصحاب المشاريع الصغيرة خطوة جديدة في رحلتهم نحو تطوير أعمالهم، من خلال مقابلات تقييم أجراها فريق هيئة مار أفرام السرياني البطريركية للتنمية (EPDC) ، بهدف اختيار المشاريع التي ستحصل على الدعم اللازم للانطلاق والنمو، بالتعاون مع Trocaire
كانت هذه المقابلات فرصة للمشاركين لعرض أفكارهم، ومشاركة قصصهم، واستعراض الخطط التي عملوا على تطويرها بعد مشاركتهم في دورة إدارة الأعمال، حيث اكتسبوا معارف ومهارات تساعدهم على تحويل أفكارهم إلى مشاريع أكثر استدامة وقدرة على النجاح.
كل مشروع يحمل قصة نجاح جديدة، وكل فكرة تحمل أملاً بمستقبل أفضل. ومن خلال هذا الدعم، نسعى إلى تمكين أصحاب المشاريع من تعزيز مصادر دخلهم وخلق فرص جديدة تسهم في تنشيط الاقتصاد المحلي ودعم استقرار الأسر.

Big ambitions for small projects… deserving of opportunity and support.

In the town of Maaloula, small business owners took another step forward in their journey to develop their enterprises through assessment interviews conducted by the team of the St. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee (EPDC), aimed at selecting the projects that will receive the necessary support to launch and grow, in cooperation with Trocaire.
These interviews provided participants with an opportunity to present their ideas, share their stories, and showcase the plans they have been developing after attending a business management training course, where they gained knowledge and skills to help turn their ideas into more sustainable and successful ventures.
Every project carries a new success story, and every idea holds hope for a better future. Through this support, we seek to empower business owners to strengthen their livelihoods and create new opportunities that contribute to revitalizing the local economy and supporting family stability.
Towards more opportunities… and towards projects that grow through the hands and determination of their owners.

في باحة إحدى المدارس القريبة من بلدة بصرى الشام في محافظة درعا، يجتمع فريق الحماية مع الأطفال في أجواء مليئة بالمرح والتفاعل، حيث يشاركون في أنشطة وألعاب هادفة تساعدهم على التعاون، وتُعزز ثقتهم بأنفسهم، وتُعرّفهم بأساليب التواصل الآمن مع الآخرين بطريقة بسيطة ومحببة لهم. تأتي هذه الأنشطة ضمن تعاون مشترك بين هيئة مار أفرام السرياني البطريركية للتنمية (EPDC) وSHF، بهدف خلق مساحة آمنة وداعمة للأطفال للنمو والتعبير.

In the courtyard of a school near the town of Busra al-Sham in Daraa Governorate, the protection team meets with children in a joyful and interactive atmosphere. They take part in engaging activities and games designed to promote cooperation, build self-confidence, and introduce them to safe ways of communicating with others in a simple and child-friendly manner. These activities are carried out through a joint collaboration between the St. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee (EPDC) and SHF, aiming to create a safe and supportive space for children to grow and express themselves.

في عربين، وضمن عيادة الأطفال في مركز العيادات المجانية، يواصل فريق الرعاية الصحية عمله الإنساني في استقبال الأطفال وتقديم الرعاية الطبية لهم.
بدعم من EPDC وMalteser International، تفتح العيادة أبوابها أمام العائلات لتقديم خدمات الفحص والعلاج والاستشارة الطبية، لتكون مساحة آمنة تضمن للأطفال حقهم في الصحة والرعاية.
وإلى جانب التشخيص والعلاج، يحمل هذا العمل رسالة أمل واهتمام تُعيد الطمأنينة إلى قلوب الأهل، وتمنح الأطفال بداية أكثر صحة وأماناً.

In Arbin, and within the pediatric clinic at the Free Clinics Center, the healthcare team continues its humanitarian work by receiving children and providing them with daily medical care.
With the support of EPDC and Malteser International, the clinic opens its doors to families, offering medical examination, treatment, and consultation services, creating a safe space that ensures children’s right to health and care.
Beyond diagnosis and treatment, this work carries a message of hope and care, bringing reassurance to parents and giving children a healthier and safer start.

في ظل التحديات الاقتصادية المتزايدة، تبرز أهمية دعم المشاريع الصغيرة كأحد أهم محركات التعافي وبناء الاستقرار المجتمعي.
في معلولا – القلمون، نُظّمت دورة تدريبية حول ريادة الأعمال وإدارة المشاريع الصغيرة من قبل هيئة مار أفرام السرياني البطريركية للتنمية (EPDC)، بالتعاون مع Trocaire، بهدف تمكين المشاركين من تطوير أفكارهم وتحويلها إلى مشاريع مستدامة.
يعتبر دعم المشاريع الصغيرة استثمار في قدرات الأفراد، وفتح لفرص العمل المستدام، وتعزيز لصمود المجتمعات نحو مستقبل أكثر استقراراً.

In light of the growing economic challenges, supporting small businesses has become one of the key drivers of recovery and community stability.
In Maaloula – Qalamoun, a training course on entrepreneurship and small business management was organized by the St. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee (EPDC), in collaboration with Trocaire, aiming to empower participants to develop their ideas and turn them into sustainable businesses.
Supporting small businesses is an investment in people’s capacities, an opening to sustainable job opportunities, and a way to strengthen community resilience toward a more stable future.

من المشاريع التي ستترك أثراً دافئاً في الشتاء المقبل لدى العديد من العائلات في محافظة درعا .
ساهم توزيع الحصص الشتوية في بلدات المحجة المسيفرة وازرع ، بدعم من صندوق سوريا الإنساني (SHF)، في دعم 690 عائلة من الأسر الأكثر احتياجاً، حيث تضمنت كل حصة 3 ألحفة، و3 وسائد، و3 جاكيتات، لتوفير الدفء والتخفيف من أعباء فصل الشتاء القادم.
دعمٌ بسيط... لكنه يصنع فرقاً كبيراً ودفئاً في حياة الناس.

One of the projects that will leave a warm impact in the coming winter for many families in Daraa Governorate.
The distribution of winter kits in the towns of Mahajjah, Mseifra, and Izra, supported by the Syria Humanitarian Fund (SHF), has assisted 690 of the most vulnerable families. Each kit included 3 blankets, 3 pillows, and 3 jackets, aiming to provide warmth and ease the burdens of the upcoming winter season.
A simple support... yet it makes a great difference and brings warmth into people’s lives.

حين يجد الأطفال مساحةً للعب والتعبير، تصبح المدرسة أكثر من مكانٍ للتعلّم... ويصبح موعد لقاء فريق الحماية مساحةً للأمان والفرح.
ضمن جولاته في مدارس محافظة درعا، نفّذ فريق الحماية أنشطة تفاعلية وداعمة للصحة النفسية، ساعدت الأطفال على المشاركة والتواصل والتعبير عن مشاعرهم في أجواء إيجابية ومحفزة.
تأتي هذه الأنشطة في إطار جهود هيئة مار أفرام السرياني البطريركية للتنمية (EPDC) بالتنسيق مع صندوق سوريا الإنساني (SHF)، إيماناً بأهمية توفير بيئة داعمة تساعد الأطفال على النمو والتعلم بأمان.

When children find a space to play and express themselves, school becomes more than just a place for learning, and meeting with the Protection Team becomes a moment of safety and joy.
As part of its visits to schools across Daraa Governorate, the Protection Team implemented interactive and psychosocial support activities that encouraged children to participate, communicate, and express their feelings in a positive and engaging environment.
These activities are carried out within the efforts of the St. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee (EPDC), in coordination with the Syria Humanitarian Fund (SHF), driven by the belief that every child deserves a supportive environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive safely.

سعياً لتنفيذ المشاريع التنموية بشكل فعّال يحقق احتياجات المجتمعات المحلية في محافظة درعا، التقى فريق من هيئة مار أفرام السرياني البطريركية للتنمية (EPDC) مع أهالي من المجتمع المحلي في بلدة دير العدس، بهدف رصد الأولويات والاحتياجات الأساسية.
وخلال اللقاء، تم الاستماع إلى آراء الأهالي وملاحظاتهم حول أبرز التحديات الخدمية والمعيشية، بما يساهم في توجيه التدخلات المستقبلية بشكل أفضل وأكثر تأثيراً.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة ضمن التعاون المشترك بين EPDC وWeWorld وGVC، لضمان تنفيذ مشاريع تنموية تستند إلى احتياجات حقيقية، وتعزز من استدامة الخدمات وتحسين واقع المجتمع المحلي.

In an effort to effectively implement development projects that respond to the needs of local communities in Daraa Governorate, a team from the St. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee (EPDC) met with members of the local community in Deir Al-Adas village to identify key priorities and essential needs.
During the meeting, residents’ views and feedback on the main service and livelihood challenges were heard, contributing to better and more impactful future interventions.
This step comes within the joint cooperation between EPDC, WeWorld, and GVC, to ensure the implementation of development projects based on real needs, enhancing the sustainability of services and improving the living conditions of the local community.

بدعم من ACTED، تواصل هيئة مار أفرام السرياني البطريركية للتنمية (EPDC) تنفيذ مشاريع تنموية مستدامة تهدف إلى تعزيز الخدمات الأساسية ودعم صمود المجتمعات المحلية.
وكان قد تم تنفيذ إعادة تأهيل بئر كحيل في محافظة درعا عبر تركيب منظومة طاقة شمسية متكاملة وتجهيزات ميكانيكية وكهربائية حديثة، بما يضمن توفير مصدر مياه آمن ومستدام للأهالي، ويسهم في تحسين الواقع المعيشي وتخفيف معاناة الحصول على المياه.

With the support of ACTED, the St. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee (EPDC) continues to implement sustainable development projects aimed at strengthening essential services and supporting the resilience of local communities.
The rehabilitation of Kahil borehole in Daraa Governorate was carried out through the installation of a fully integrated solar power system, along with modern mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring a safe and sustainable water source for the local community. This intervention helps improve living conditions and reduce the challenges related to access to water.

ضمن أنشطة مهارات الحياة، نُفّذت في مركز شمش – خان شيخون بريف إدلب، وبالتعاون بين NCA وEPDC، جلسة للسيدات بعنوان “مهارة إدارة وتنمية الذات”.

هدفت الجلسة إلى تعزيز الثقة بالنفس، وتطوير مهارات التنظيم الذاتي واتخاذ القرار، عبر أنشطة تفاعلية ونقاشات عملية مكّنت المشاركات من اكتشاف قدراتهن وتطويرها.

خطوة جديدة نحو التمكين وبناء ذات أكثر قوة ووعي.

As part of life skills activities, a women’s session titled “Self-Management and Personal Development Skills” was implemented at Shams Center in khan shekhoun, rural Idleb, in collaboration between NCA and EPDC.

The session aimed to strengthen self-confidence, and develop self-management and decision-making skills through interactive activities and practical discussions that enabled participants to discover and enhance their abilities.

A new step towards empowerment and building stronger, more aware women.
