The History of Dr. Kenneth Grant Frazer: The First Missionary in Lui

Dr. Kenneth Grant Frazer was the first missionary to come to Lui in 1920. He traveled with his wife, Ellen Galbriet, known as Sity 'Desi,' and his sister-in-law, Alice Galbriet, known as Sity Giriwa. Together, they aimed to help the local community in three important ways: education, health, and the church.

1. Education: Dr. Frazer believed that education was very important for the youth. He worked hard to set up schools and provide resources for learning. This helped many young people in the area gain knowledge and skills, which improved their future.

2. Health: Dr. Frazer also saw the need for better health care. He opened clinics and taught local people how to provide medical help. This made a big difference in the health of the community and helped reduce sickness and death rates. All these was believed after the lion injuried someone badly and was helped by Dr. Frazer which made people to believe in his health works.

3. Church: As a missionary, Dr. Frazer wanted to share the Christian faith. He started a church in Lui, which became an important part of community life. Through his work, many people learned about Christianity and became part of the church.

Dr. Frazer's efforts in Lui had a lasting impact. His focus on education, health, and spirituality helped the local community grow and improve. Today, people remember and appreciate his contributions, making him an important figure in the history of missionaries in South Sudan.
