Breaking: The Lakes State Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports has ordered a suspension of Lakes State Media’s broadcasts across Lakes State and throughout South Sudan.

The suspension follows the outlet’s interviews with defectors and rebel figures such as (SSSM) Nhial Deng Nhial. Service will remain suspended until the broadcaster changes its name from “Lakes State Media” to a different title.

Just last night, I was reminded of a remarkable young man named Rammy, whom I first met back in May 2019 in Wau. At that time, I had taken Dr. Jose Chameleone there, and Rammy was the young, dedicated soul who took care of us at the hotel. His memory of those moments reminded me of how every encounter, every shared experience, shapes our lives.
