On Monday, September 18, 2023, Caring Hearts Initiative for Community Development conducted a debate between Dreamland Primary School and Genesis Nursery/Primary School held at DreamLand P/S in Juba, South Sudan. The debate topic was "Importance of Girl's Education," and it brought together 300 passionate pupils from the two schools.
The debate aimed at empowering girls with leadership and public speaking skills.
The pupils presented well-argued and thought-provoking cases, demonstrating their deep understanding of the importance of girls' education.
the end, the judges declared Dreamland Primary School the winner. However, the real winners were all of the students who participated. They gained valuable skills and experience, and they learned more about the importance of girls' education.

We are grateful to Dreamland Primary School and Genesis Nursery/Primary School for their participation in this important event.

After every program with young girls, we always encourage them to have exercise to their body. Even during their red days, body exercises can help them be active.
A game initiated by our own paite after our adolescence awareness program.

Adolescence is the period between childhood and adulthood.
During this stage, both boys and girls start experiencing different body changes for example growth of breasts, hips, and deep voice for boys etc says one of our volunteers.
This was during our adolescence and menstrual hygiene awareness at AIC modern.

UNICEF South Sudan
UNDP South Sudan

So today 11/06/2022, we conducted adolescence awareness and menstrual hygiene management to young girls between the age of 10-19 bracket at AIC modern primary and nursery school.
We also distributed some sanitary pads and soap to the girls to help facilitate and sustain their education especially when they are on their red days.
We will keep you updated about this program on our pages.

On this menstrual hygiene day, let's all respect and kick off menstrual shame and stigma.
Teaching young girls how to put in pads on their knickers/panties/underwear well to stay comfy while in class is among what we do during the promote of sexual reproductive health Rights.

We love seeing girls mentored to especially speak about the issues they face, public speaking etc check Ann Mic Lola rocking with the girls.

Dear Gala Rose, we are always proud you each and everytime.
The brains, skills and knowledge shared together, implemented together and yet together has/is impactful to many people especially the the girl child in south Sudan.
Today as you turn yet another age, we wish you more of Gods blessings. Keep fighting for the needy children, girls as always.
Happy birthday to you
From Caring Hearts Initiative for Community Development family to you.
