Captain Ibrahim Traore, President of Burkina Faso, reduced all Ministers and Politicians’ salaries by 20%. He refused to accept the President's salary, and maintain his salary as a ‘Military Captain.’

Captain Ibrahim Traore, President of Burkina Faso is currently ranked number 5 in the top 10 Best African Performing Presidents -2024 after, Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania and Rwanda's Presidents.

President Traore became the president of People's Republic of Burkina Faso after he removed his predecessor, Paul- Henri Sandaogo from power following ‘September 2022 Burkina Faso Coup’ at the age of 36. He is currently the youngest president in the whole world and in Africa respectively.
