[Grand Finals] Today, the brightest minds from 9 universities across across Brazil, Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nepal, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Suriname, and Uganda pitch their innovative solutions to transform our food systems! 🌾

In the morning, the Imagine Food Systems 2100 project will share bold visions for the future of food. Student teams will also present their ideas in a quickfire pitch where YOU get to vote for the most creative concept!

This afternoon, finalists compete for €14,000 in prize money! 💸 Who will shape the future of food? Join us and find out!

During the process of Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) cultivation, our main focus was to collect BSFL prepupae and produce meal. We would then obtain Black Soldier Fly Larvae meal (BSFL meal). However, we were also left with compost and liquid fertilizer.

So during the process of BSFL cultivation we obtained three (3) golden products:
1. BSFL meal
2. Compost
3. Liquid Fertilizer

To give a name to our products we named them: ‘Black Soldier Fly Larvae Meal’, ‘Black Soldier Fly Larvae Compost’ and ‘Black Soldier Fly Larvae Liquid Fertilizer’.

Who would’ve thought that larvaes would be so beneficial?

🌱 EntoPro participated in focus group discussions of WUSC Caribbean ✅

Last week (31st July, 1st & 2nd August, 2024) we participated in focus group discussions (FGD) among men, women and youth farmers organized by WUSC Caribbean. We got the oppurtunity to work as partners in the Sustainable Agriculture in the Caribbean (SAC)-project to gather information about challenges and barriers that farmers experience in the field and how that can be solved with inclusive, sustainable and climate resilient agricultural market systems 📈.

Besides being active in the FGD, we also got the opportunity to briefly present our project to the men, women and youth farmers to give them insights about our innovations. The farmers were also given a survey to test their knowledge and acceptance about our project 💡.

Once again, many thanks to the Climate Smart Agriculture Officer of WUSC Caribbean SAC Project, Ms. Varsha Boejharat, for the oppurtunity to participate in this delightful event!
