Last April 19, 2026, members of the Suriname Watercolor Society gathered at Sana Budaya for a wonderful morning of plein air watercolor painting. 🎨🌿

Surrounded by history and culture, artists came together to capture the beauty of the outdoors through watercolor—sharing inspiration, techniques, and meaningful moments of fellowship.

From 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, the session was filled with color, creativity, and the joy of painting side by side.

Despite the changing weather, members of the Suriname Watercolor Society gathered at the historic Fort Nieuw Amsterdam to capture the beauty of the surroundings in watercolor. From soft washes under cloudy skies to vibrant moments when the sun broke through, it was a day full of creativity, connection, and inspiration.

Plein Air at the Waterkant – February 15

On February 15, artists gathered at the beautiful Waterkant in Paramaribo for a plein air painting session. Inspired by the colorful historic buildings, the Suriname River, and the lively atmosphere of the waterfront, participants captured the scene in watercolor from their own unique perspectives.

It was a wonderful morning of creativity, shared inspiration, and enjoying the charm of one of Paramaribo’s most iconic locations.
