Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and leadership of women in our communities. Women play a critical role in building resilient households and shaping a better future for their families.
When we invest in women, we do more than transform individual lives; we strengthen families, uplift communities, and build a more resilient future for everyone.
Let us continue to support, empower, and create opportunities for women to thrive, because resilient communities begin with empowered women.

What happens when farmers are connected to real markets instead of just receiving aid?
In Dollow, along the Juba River in southern Somalia, farmers have long had the knowledge to grow. What was missing was a bridge to functioning markets.
Through Somali Resilience Programmeâs Inclusive Market Systems Development approach, that bridge is now taking shape. Farmers, private sector partners, and local institutions are coming together to unlock new possibilities for production, trade, and income.
But the real impact is in the people, the partnerships, and the change unfolding on the ground.
Watch the short video to see how Dollowâs farmers are turning opportunity into lasting resilience.

Yesterdayâs Open Market Dialogue (OMD) brought together private-sector partners, innovators, and ecosystem supporters for a collaborative and engaging session.
The conversations helped validate current market solutions, highlight existing challenges, and identify new opportunities in the circular economy and green-skills development for agropastoral communities.
These insights will directly support the design of the upcoming Sida - Styrelsen för Internationellt Utvecklingssamarbete Innovation Challenge, ensuring it is practical, market-aligned, and shaped by those working closest to the issues.
A big thank-you to everyone who participated!
