Our Founder and CEO, Amani Katana is currently in South Africa to support a regional training session for facilitators of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), conducted by the U.S. Department of State in Johannesburg. This is The White House-led Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative, aimed at equipping women with the practical skills needed to create sustainable businesses and enterprises. Congratulation to our Founder Amani Katana for emerging position 3 in the Pitch Festival during the for Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders in South Africa. He presented to an international audience about the work we do at Garb Tech including waste collection, community sensitization and the Garbage Sorting and Recycling Centers (GarbSoRC). “There is a huge potential for new business opportunities and generation of thousands of new jobs, all while protecting the environment.” He said.
