Seit fünf Jahren bringt sie mit ihrem Label Sboutiful die Mode junger afrikanischer Designer*innen nach Deutschland und startete 2020 ihre erste eigene Kollektion.

Asmaa Sbou, the founder of Sboutiful (WE ARE SBOUTIFUL]), studied business administration in Mannheim and has been self-employed in the fields of media, marketing, empowerment building, and art and culture for 13 years.
For five years she has been bringing the fashion of young African designers to Germany with her label "Sboutiful" and launched her first own collection in 2020.

Who are we?

Asmaa Sbou is a curator and the founder of Sboutiful a fashion label that creates unique, handcrafted, sustainable and ethical African
fashion. Together with the collective Ore Arts, an intergenerational collective of
Black, African and African-Diasporic artists, they advocated for greater visibility in white cultural institutions. As an empowerment and transformation coach, she guides people on their own journey of self-knowledge and self-love.

Yero Adugna Eticha

Yero Adugna Eticha is a photographer from Oromia in Ethiopia who lives in Berlin and dedicates his work to the stories, perspectives and visions of Black and African people. Since graduating from the Ostkreuz School of Photography (2011), he has been working on various photography projects including:

2019 Atmospheres in the Urban Anthropocene (Aarhus of Architecture and Studio Olafur Eliasson).
2018 Studio Olafur Eliasson (guest photographer).
2018 Teaching at the Ale School of Fine Arts Addis Ababa involved.
2017 Choreographers Portraits (Dance in August).

The Ethiopian Project and Black in Berlin are two of Yero's current works, the latter of which was on view as part of the Boros Foundation group exhibition at 'Studio Berlin' at Berghain

The vision of the Fashion Changers Conference is to positively transform the fashion industry. The mission is to provide a platform where industry participants can access and share concrete recommendations and expert knowledge.
The Fashion Changers Fashion Conference 2021 will take place in cooperation with Fashion Africa Now and Future Fashion. Today we are introducing you speakers for our panel on the 27.10.2021 at 15.35 -16:35 (CEST) - Trade With Africa - Deconstruct colonial trade relations -

A change of image for Africa! The contemporary Fashion scene is showing the continent in a different way. Creatives enjoy an international presence thanks to the digital transformation. A booming young, dynamic creative and business oriented scene is increasing and wants a seat on the table. The interest of African designers, brands and producers are in exporting into Europe. In order to practice sustainability honestly in the fashion industry, it is essential to talk about colonialism. It is time to break the one-sided and exploitative trade relationship between Africa and Europe.

We are happy to speak with, Sboutiful founder Asmaa Sbou, with her label Sboutiful she has been bringing the fashion of young african designers to Germany for five years.
