THE GREEN REVOLUTION HAS BEGUN AT NJALA UNIVERSITY CAMPUS!

We are proud to announce the successful implementation of the first phase of the Green Revolution Project, funded through our recent fundraising Nature Walk initiative.
Executed in strategic partnership with and the Action For Community Resilience Group - ACRG, this initial phase directly advances UN Sustainable Development Goal 15 (Life on Land) through targeted afforestation efforts at the Njala campus.

True sustainability requires a multi-stakeholder approach. This project was made possible through the collaborative synergy of students from the Departments of Forestry, Agriculture, and Environmental Chemistry bringing their technical enthusiasm to the field and community members working alongside students to ensure long-term environmental stewardship.

By integrating climate action into the student experience, we are not only greening our campus today but also cultivating the environmental leaders of tomorrow.
Thank you to all partners, volunteers, and administrators who dedicated their time, sweat, and expertise to launching Phase 1 of this vital initiative.

As part of the Nature Walk in partnership with Action For Community Resilience Group - ACRG in celebrating the World Environmental Day with the theme "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future", we visited the Green House at the Agricultural Engineering Department, Njala University with students from various departments to learn, explore and witness innovative solutions. This experience deepened the understanding of students in nursery management, and the role of the Green House in sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation

As a youth-led environmental organization, we remain committed to learning, advocacy, and action. This visit strengthened our resolve to continue promoting sustainable practices within our campus and communities. Together, we can invest in nature-based solutions for climate action and for our future.

We are thrilled to organise a nature walk for climate action on 5th June 2026, at Njala University campus celebrating the World Environmental Day 2026 with the theme: "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future"

The initiative aims to raise fund to support the establishment of a Nursery Site at Njala University through NEPO Salone and promote environmental conservation, climate awareness, and community resilience.

It will be a great day filled with environmental awareness, networking, and community impact as we will bring together students at Njala University in Sierra Leone to promote nature-based solutions for climate action, environmental protection and innovative solutions. Together, let’s walk for nature, walk for the future, and create lasting impact in our communities.
