Our government's flagship initiative is FEED SALONE. has given us a challenge that in a few years, we must be able to grow what we eat and eat to grow. The Minister of Agriculture Musa Kpaka and his two deputies engaged H.E on our shared vision to achieving this goal.

Today, I convened the first Cabinet meeting of my new 5-year mandate to serve the great people of Sierra Leone.

My new Cabinet is a crucible of talented and accomplished Sierra Leoneans, cutting across different ages, gender, tongues and tribes ~ representing our progressive aspirations to bring sustainable development and social progress to our nation.

These distinguished countrymen and women are poised to support the Honorable Vice-President and I as we embark upon a new five-year mandate that echoes the call for continuity.

The significantly increased number of Women and young people appointed in my new Government signals a renaissance for meaningful development and socioeconomic progress in our country.

I admonished every Cabinet Minister and their Deputies to administer their tasks with honour and integrity and to always put the needs of the people above personal interests.

Together, we will do our best with the help of the Almighty God to improve the quality of life of our Citizens.

Public education on Public Education: reflection and transition

Today, I handed over the Ministry to my colleagues after 3.5 years as Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education. I am grateful for the opportunities to learn and grow - education is in my genes.

On every indicator, Sierra Leone is better today than 3.5 years ago and most certainly than 5 years ago. I expect that this will be true moving forward. I know because this team is solid. It won the Presidential Award for Best Ministry and more.

I can't wait to watch them keep on this path!
