It was quite an epic evening celebrating the launch of Maria Bradford's debut cookbook 'Sweet Salone'. It is not just full of fantastic recipes but also the rich history and culture of Sierra Leone that needs to be celebrated. Maria you are a inspiration and I have no doubt that this book will inspire the next generation of chefs! To know you is to love you, congratulations!🥳🎉❤

On Friday 16th December, The Mayor of Freetown launched the Freetown Fashion Design & Creative Arts Network.

The idea for the network was initiated in 2020 by Mayor Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr of Freetown & Mayor Giuseppe Sala of Milan. The cities of Milan and Freetown are working together to create opportunities for exchange and collaboration between the fashion and design industries and creative communities in their cities. They want to create opportunities for skills exchanges between designers, broker networks and alliances amongst textile manufacturers and more importantly to support business development and investment in Sierra Leone's fashion industry.

I am so thrilled to be a part of this network and cannot wait to share our stories with you as we develop.

As Global Entrepreneurship Week Kicked off on the 14th November 2022, Innovation SL hosted a debate on “The State of the Ecosystem” which was championed by Enablers in the Sierra Leone entrepreneurial community. I was thrilled be a panelist as we deliberated on the challenges the ecosystem is facing and how policy makers, International Organizations, regulators, NGOs, and development programs addressed the challenges entrepreneurs face in growing their businesses in an enabling environment perspective through the “Enabling Environment”.
As an approach to give young entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn, the second session was centered around ways to conquer and address the challenges faced in the ecosystem. Entrepreneurs like myself who have survived over the years were opportuned to share our experiences on how aspiring entrepreneurs can adapt to ever changing circumstances. 🇸🇱❤
