Dear Musician
Ekasi, we have what I call the Crab Effect.
Put crabs in a bucket, and watch what happens when one tries to escape — the others pull that crab right back down.
Don’t expect too much support from your kasi. Yes, one, two, maybe three people will support you, but your kasi? They don’t want to see you rise. They only cheer when you’re already famous — then they say, “Yeah, he’s from this kasi.”
But while you’re still grinding, building from the ground up? They’ll do everything they can to hold you back.
Focus on hustling and building elsewhere. Let your hood hear rumors about what you’re doing — let them talk.
Speaking from experience, I’ve done a lot of positive things in my lifetime, but the things I hear about me ekasi always amaze me.
I almost gave up once — I helped someone for free four years ago, and that person went around talking negative things about me.
But that didn’t destroy me.
It built me to understand the kasi Crab Effect: No matter how hard you try, they will only support you when you move out and reach a level they can’t expect from you.
So, seek support elsewhere and push through the criticism you get from ekasi. It shows your hustle is working.
Remember, we don’t bad-mouth people who are doing nothing — they bad-mouth people who are moving. There’s a saying: “A dog never barks at a parked car, only at a moving one.”
Keep moving, King.
Your breakthrough is coming.

Dear Musicians
If you want to be booked, your social media must show you in action — performing, vibing, connecting with your audience.
Your videos are your 3D portfolio — they bring your talent to life.
📸 Everyone can post pictures with “For Bookings” written under them...
But here’s the truth — we can’t book what we can’t see.
Let’s say I’m considering booking you right now.
If I visit your timeline, I should immediately see your energy, your crowd control, your stage presence.
I must see you moving, performing, and showing what makes you different.
🎬 Start posting short clips, live sessions, and even practice videos.
Because your next upload could get you your next gig.

The Hidden Truth About Playlist Placements Nobody Talks About
You’ve been told: “Get on a playlist, get famous.”
It sounds simple. But here’s the secret nobody tells you: playlists are not magic — they’re strategy.
A placement doesn’t mean streams. A feature doesn’t mean fans.
Big playlists can give exposure, but most of the time, it’s temporary attention, not loyal listeners.
The real game? Building relationships with curators, knowing your audience, and having your next release ready to capture them.
Every playlist you aim for should serve a purpose:
Engage real fans who will follow you.
Grow your brand, not just your numbers.
Lead listeners to your platforms, merch, and community.
Stop chasing numbers. Start chasing impact.
A song on a playlist is only valuable if it brings you closer to your true fans, your revenue, and your growth.
🎯 Action Step:
Identify 5 playlists that actually align with your genre and audience. Reach out personally. Offer value — don’t just send your song link. Build a connection. Plan your next release to maximize that exposure.
Playlists are tools, not shortcuts. Master the strategy, and you’ll control the game.
