The U17 Sierra Queen demonstrated their potential as they defeated the Liberian U17 girls by 2-1 in the 2024 Women's Cup in Kenema.

Sierra Leone senior and U- 17 female national teams arrive in Kenema. Ahead of the Ram Kay and Sierra Leone football Association tournament, both the Sierra Leone Senior and U17 national teams arrived in kenema on 28 February 2024 in anticipation of victory. The teams left Freetown for the host city this afternoon. Sierra Queens will take on Liberia U20 while the Sierra Leone U-17 will take on Liberia U-17 Lone Star. The international friendlies will commence on Friday 1st March and will last till the 8th March 2024 to commemorate International Women’s Day. Presently, both the Senior and U17 are camped at the Luawa resort in kenema. Stay tuned for more details.

“I am pleased to announce my resignation from the club based on the prevailing
circumstances of the club and the current management.
It may be recalled that I signed a contract with the club two years ago with conditional agreement that has been breached by management.
Management have not been able to comply with the following:

1. Accommodation for my stay;
2. Irregular payment of monthly salary;
3. Backlog of bonuses;
4. Lack of team support to the players and insufficient training equipment
5. Lack of team morale.

With all these problems I have experienced in the club; there are no better conditions of service and no encouragement by some members of the management, I decided to take this decision.

I want to thank the management of the club, players as well as officers, for the opportunity given to me to help them in their developmental strive although things didn't work as expected, I hope the management will provide me with all me outstanding salaries, bonuses and other benefits.
I wish the club all the best in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League.

Vice President Jalloh Consoles Elizabeth Kpakra's Family

The Vice President of Sierra Leone Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has on Sunday 25th February, 2024 attended the funeral service of the late Elizabeth Fatmata Blessing Kpakra at the New Harvest Central House of Gathering, Old Railway Quarters in Bo City where he delivered a tribute to the deceased.

Vice President Jalloh said that his presence in the church was a testimony of sharing the grief associated with the loss.
He further said that the loss is not only meant for the Kpakra family but to friends and mourners.

He opined that the demise of Elizabeth came as a surprise to not only President Julius Maada Bio but to the Government of Sierra Leone, noting that President Bio who is out of Sierra Leone had requested him to make representation on his behalf at the funeral.

Dr Jalloh referred to the late Elizabeth as an epitome of the cardinal virtues the ruling party prides itself in, stressing that the late young lady was a respectful believer of the ruling party.

The Honourable Vice President concluded by consoling the bereaved family to take the loss of their daughter as one destined by God.

The late Elizabeth Kpakra who died on the 14th February, 2024 is believed to be the person who propounded the popular election slogan go vote saful, return na ose saful, wait for the results saful, if you win, celebrate saful; en if you loss, sidom saful for the past June 24, 2023 Presidential, Parliamentary and Local Council elections.
