Nestled along the southern stretch of the Freetown Peninsula, Tokeh Beach is one of Sierra Leoneโ€™s most breathtaking coastal destinations. Positioned between River No. 2 Beach and York Beach, Tokeh offers visitors a perfect blend of relaxation, scenic beauty, and accessibility.

One of the unique experiences here is the opportunity to explore two beaches in a single day. During low tide, you can take a peaceful 20-minute walk along the shoreline from River No. 2 to Tokeh, enjoying the ocean breeze and stunning views along the way.

For those traveling from Freetown, Tokeh Beach is approximately 35 kilometers away. The drive along the Peninsular Highway typically takes about an hour, although travel time can vary depending on traffic conditions ~ especially on weekends when beachgoers head out in large numbers.

Reaching Tokeh is fairly convenient. Hiring a taxi or driving a private vehicle remains the most comfortable option. However, for a more budget-friendly route, you can take a poda poda from Freetown to Waterloo and then connect with a shared taxi heading toward Tokeh.

Whether youโ€™re looking for a quiet escape, a weekend adventure, or simply a scenic spot to unwind, Tokeh Beach stands out as one of the Peninsulaโ€™s true coastal gems.
