SLFA President Babadi Kamara Inspects Progress of State-of-the-Art 435-Seater Pavilion at Football Academy

In a significant step towards elevating football in Sierra Leone, SLFA President Babadi Kamara recently toured the impressive ongoing construction of a cutting-edge 435-seater pavilion at the SLFA Football Academy in Kingtom. This initiative is a testament to his unwavering dedication to enhancing the nation’s football infrastructure.

Joined by SLFA General Secretary Mohamed Benson Bahow and Deputy General Secretary Ishmail Saidu Kanu, Esq., President Kamara was visibly pleased with the robust progress being made on this landmark project. "It's inspiring to see our vision take shape," Kamara stated, highlighting how the pavilion will greatly enhance the Academy’s ability to host matches, training sessions, and coaching courses in a professional, safe, and comfortable setting.

The pavilion, a personal initiative fully funded by President Kamara himself, comes with an impressive price tag of over **US$250,000**. It promises not just quality seating but also features a state-of-the-art electronic scoreboard, reflecting his commitment to creating modern football facilities that will positively impact the sport for generations.

During the inspection, Kamara emphasised his ambition to leave a lasting legacy in Sierra Leone football through sustainable infrastructure investments. He remarked, "This pavilion will provide an exceptional experience for spectators and players, solidifying the SLFA Football Academy as a true centre of excellence."

The construction of this pavilion marks an essential milestone in the SLFA’s ongoing mission to momoderniseootball infrastructure across the nation, fostering an environment conducive to the growth and professionalization of the sport. With President Kamara at the helm, the future of Sierra Leone football looks brighter than ever, promising new opportunities and experiences for players, coaches, officials, and fans alike.
