20 Buck Spin is pleased to announce that Italy’s Assumption have joined the roster and are now entering the studio to record their third album, due out in 2026.

The follow up to 2022’s ‘Hadean Tides’, the band’s grandiose and atmospheric Death Doom will take on its most dynamic and fully realized form to date on the new LP.

Details on that and many new releases, which should entail a much busier year than 2025 for us, will be forthcoming, including the announcement of our first 2026 release late next week.

This design was made by Misanthropic-Art in 2019 to accompany the release of our 1st album, Absconditus.

This is where our journey started.

Decrepit Productions, a very small label from Spain, released only 4 records before calling it quits. Our 1st EP "Mosaic from the Distant Dominion" is one of those.

It came out in May 2012 on this pretty unique format: a CD-r in a DVD case with a b/w poster.

Only 50 copies were pressed.

The EP was released on tape by Unholy Domain (ITA) later that year and, ultimately, on slipcase CD by Weird Truth Productions (J*P) in 2019.

We'd like thank each and everyone at Kill-Town Death Fest for making it the most special coven on earth for all that is death and extreme doom metal. To share the stage with some of our crucial influences such as Dusk, Rippikoulu and, once again, Funeral Moth was nothing short of spectacular!

Furthermore, we wish to let you all know that the songwriting of our 3rd full-length album is now complete. It will be fully recorded in the next few months.

Today we salute our dear friend Alessandro Tassotti on what would have been his 55th birthday.

Alessandro's enthusiasm and never-ending support for Assumption and, namely, for the songs that ended up on our 2nd album "Hadean Tides" were crucial to us. He was one - if not the only one - to listen to the new tracks at demo stage outside of the band and his precious words on what he'd hear will stay within our hearts forever.

Here's to a loyal, intelligent, funny, caring and outspoken human being with immense amounts of love, widsom and dedication to give.
