Imagine if the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) of a sovereign state fell into the wrong hands. Detectify’s Fredrik Nordberg Almroth found a vulnerability that left the ccTLD of the Democratic Republic of Congo -.cd - open to severe potential abuse. He bought a name server for .cd before any attacker could – by that saving thousands of .cd domains from potentially being exploited: https://lnkd.in/e7qA-4c
