Light Symposium is back in Stockholm!

This year, the 9th Light Symposium, LS2023, will be held in Stockholm from 4-6 December 2023 under the title Architecture Lighting Environments: Space With(Out) Light.

The conference program will be structured around a published call for papers (talks and poster presentations).

You are all invited to submit your proposals at www.lightsymposium.org by the April deadline.
The suggested topics include daylight and electric light in architecture, art, and urban design, including interpretations on:
Variability and Rhythmicity
Designing for Darkness
Sensory and Spatial Perceptions
Light and Health for all Species

Agne Milkeviciute has been awarded the Light Symposium Paper Competition 2018 and she will present her paper at the LEDforum in Sao Paolo in 2019. The jury, composed by Colin Ball, Michael Rohde, Karolina Zielinska-Dabkowska, Orlando Marques and Federico Favero had a hard time selecting a winner among the four excellent papers presented this year. Giorgia Chinazzo was given a special mention by the jury. Congratulations to Agnė, Giorgia, Kynthia and Cristina. The future of lighting is in good hands!

We would also like to thank the 25 authors who sent in paper proposals and Isabel Villar, White Arkitekter, who reviewed the proposals together with KTH and Wismar Universities.
