Exploration pop from the undiscovered tundra of Stockholm archipelago. Marble Raft is the vessel of Swedish friends Olle Söderström and Gabrielle Baker.

We have left shore with our debut album "Geography A". Together we conjure alternative pop-sagas with an escapist approach, building scenes of sound using an abundance of holy machines, devices and instruments. Among them buzzing string machines, chiming guitars, eerie mellotron and quite a few bells. Always with a foundation of pure melodic pop to be found underneath. And fear not, with escapism

Marble Raft – Dear Infrastructure 04/06/2025

“Dear Infrastructure is a work that sounds vibrant and splendid from the very first minute. Virtually every song is covered in large layers of dreamy keyboards that shine brightly. But there is also powerful drum machines and melodies that revel in epicness.” ✨

Dear Infrastructure is Marble Raft's Album Out Now 22/05/2025

"Marble Raft´s Dear Infrastructure is an album that strikes a unique balance between the future and the past, blending futuristic sounds with nostalgic 80s influences. The rhythm is steady and fluid, allowing the male and female vocals to intertwine, creating a swirling blend of emotions that transports you somewhere far away. It’s a feeling of timelessness, a sense of being caught between eras, and yet it feels completely fresh." ✨

Marble Raft illumine les ruines du rêve avec Dear Infrastructure - EXTRAVAFRENCH 02/05/2025

"With this album, Marble Raft invites us to explore a nameless city, a mental space where we can get lost with delight. Dear Infrastructure is a work that, like all great architecture, does not need instructions. All you have to do is close your eyes, let yourself be carried away, and walk, again and again, through its streets illuminated by a light that will never go out."

"...the album has created an immersive environment, an ecosystem of sound that feels infinite. What makes the album compelling isn’t just its vastness, but its intensity. Reverb-heavy records often risk drifting into the background, but Marble Raft keeps a steady grip on their atmosphere, ensuring the music never becomes weightless or detached. The vocal harmonies, in particular, serve as a crucial anchor, pulling everything together into a cohesive whole."

Marble Raft Unveil Expansive, Imaginative Album ‘Dear Infrastructure’ 27/03/2025

"Steeped in celestial indie-pop, the album swims in lush, ethereal guitar tones and bucolic synth work, perhaps inspired by Cocteau Twin’s whimsical new wave or M83’s restless, uplifting soundscapes.
Enriched by the Swedish pair’s collective vocals, well balanced between a male and a female tone, ‘Dear Infrastructure’ wraps the listeners in a shimmering fever dream, something that also finds great support in its conceptual lyricism."
