AlixLabs
We provide an ALE-based method of manufacturing nanostructures with characteristic size below 20nm.
This is a new method of nanostructure fabrication using the atomic layer etching process, which is inherently a damage-free etch process.

🚀 AlixLabs Selected as Semi-Finalist in SEMI S3 Program 2025! 🌱
We’re proud to share that AlixLabs has been named a semi-finalist in the SEMI Startups for Sustainable Semiconductors (S3) program — now in its 4th year, with a record-breaking 145 applicants from around the world.
As one of only 35 companies selected, AlixLabs from Lund, Sweden stands out for our Atomic Layer Pitch Splitting (APS™) technology — a breakthrough in semiconductor manufacturing that enables cost-effective, energy-efficient scaling of transistor architectures without the need for the most advanced lithography.
🔍 APS™ doubles pattern density at half the cost, integrates easily into existing fabs, and reduces both cost and environmental footprint — a real game-changer for more sustainable semiconductor manufacturing.
A big thank you to SEMI and the S3 Committee led by Applied Materials for recognizing the impact of our innovation. We look forward to presenting at the virtual pitch event on July 31 & August 1.

AlixLabs' Atomic Layer Etch Pitch Splitting (APS™) technology represents a significant advancement in semiconductor manufacturing, enabling the creation of extremely fine features with dimensions below 10 nm in a cost-effective and environmentally friendly manner. APS leverages Atomic Layer Etching (ALE) to split nanoscale features on semiconductor wafers into even smaller structures, providing an efficient alternative to complex and expensive lithography techniques. Notably, APS can replace Self-Aligned Double and Quadruple Patterning (SADP and SAQP) processes, simplifying the production of advanced logic and memory chips while supporting the continued scaling down of components according to Moore's Law. This makes APS a critical innovation for the future of high-performance and sustainable semiconductor manufacturing.
