As both the semester and year winds down, our project subsystems have been hard at work, and we want to highlight their accomplishments and progress 📈We'll start with our ADCS team- scroll through to see what they've been up to! 🛰

Oh how it's been so long! 👋 We know this is the first time in a while that we've been on your feed; don't worry, we're still here being busy bees 🐝📚🤓

We've been working hard to get everything prepared for our 2022 launch 🚀 You might've seen us at IAC 2021, where our project was presented by our very own Kyle Mayer 🛰 Here in Kiruna, we've implemented full-group work sessions, prepped components in the clean room, and learned a little more about ADCS thanks to Cătălin-Daniel Neagu (who you'll be hearing more about later this week 😉).

Going forward, we have lots in store for you! We'll introduce you to our new members, recommence our Tech Tuesdays, and provide quarterly updates on all our systems to let you into the heart of the action. So stay tuned! 💻

TECH TUESDAY #37 🛰 Aptas-insight-style! The electrical design team and the software team testing the communications between the On board computer and the Umbilical board ADCs (Analog-to-Digital Converters), which will digitise the signals coming from the solar panel sun sensors! This is happening in a clean room as you can see in the pictures, to keep any contamination away from the components ✨

Today the team has been hard at work assembling a 1:1 model of the APTAS satellite 🛰 This 3D-printed beauty will be used to assess the feasibility of harnessing in preparation for the real flight hardware. Since all cables within APTAS will be custom made by the team, this will also help us estimate the lengths of the many, many wires!
