Salt Slush Racing

So...the Chevy C20 pickup runs again after a breakdown this spring. All it took was a pair of new cylinderheads and some wrenching. All good. She's is so happy to get the truck back in service again. On top of that, its soon Friday!

Summer or autumn, Hot Rod needs to be built. Magnus is building a rod from what he have on his shevles...and he has a lot on his shelves.

There's something special when a hot rod and a 6.9 and a partial lunar eclip com together outsie our Saltslush workshop.

A couple of questions...
1. Small LS 6.0L V8 with Magnuson Supercharger or old school big block 454 V8 (7.4L) ? Boost or displacment? Preference?
2. Would you carguys and cargirls out there let your close friends test drive and review the car that you've work so hard with? Would you?

We're starting with the classic question. Natural aspirated or boosting?

Pictured: Old nice 454 V8 [7.4L] or modern small block V8 [6.0L] with Magnuson Supercharger. The later deliver (significantly) more power.

Moving over to a social dimension and the second question (only relevant for carguys and cargirls) Would you let you a close friend drive and review your entusiast drive?

Garage reorganize and cleaning day today. Took Carina's hippie-beamer, the BSA, the Ardun Ford and the Mercedes 6.9 for a spin while in process. For once the weather in Gothenburg was nice...and a lot of friends showed up too.

Will it start? Magnus huffin' and puffin' model A with its tuned-to-death-experimental-cam fourbanger run on hot rod spirit & good luck. Did he come home safely? Nobody knows.

Have you ever experianced a "Boeing Drill" ? I have. Several times. I've used them as center drill while under a car while the drill bend out out like a bow and were still not breaking...a bit of a miracle if you ask me.

Shake down no. 5. The go-get-grocery test. Result? Mission complete. All went well.
