Two of our previous thesis students, Hani Elzoumor and Spiros Strachinis, were recently recognized by Gothenburg University's Sustainability Thesis Award (GUSTA) for having produced a high quality thesis. With the motivation: "This is a very comprehensive thesis – almost too much to take in! You cover a lot of methodology, a lot of "reality"...". – That's how we do it here at Challenge Lab! On Friday October 23 from 8-12 (GMT+1) we invite you all to join in to our final presentations from the Leadership for Sustainability Transitions course. 14 Groups have during the last seven weeks engaged with local/regional sustainability challenges and will present their guiding principles, systemic challenges in the present, intervention points and associated strategies for making the transitions happen.

Good morning all in these strange times!
We are proud to announce that our 2020 theses will be presented during the 8th and 9th of June. All theses address mobility-related local/regional complex and systemic sustainability challenges in West Sweden and beyond.
If you'd wish to learn more about past developments, current trends, ongoing processes, future aspirations, transformative potential and sustainability implications from a systems perspective on topics including:
- car-free living with children
- e-scooters and public transportation
- transitioning to electric trucks
- climate impacts from inbound tourism by aviation
- urban logistics, accessibility and inclusivity
- opportunities for staycation related to motives and needs
- misalignments in tourism- and sustainability strategies
- urban/inland water transportation for construction logistics.. make sure to sign up in time!
The presentations will be held via ZOOM, and for registering simply fill in the following form by submitting your e-mail adress and stating which presentations you'd like to attend; and we will send you an invitation link prior the presentations!
