Very exciting opportunity here for creative artists and graphic designers!
An ecumenical partnership between the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales ‘God who Speaks’ project, St John’s Waterloo, and Art + Christianity, has made an open call for artists, graphic designers and illustrators from across the UK to design a cover for any of the 73 books of the Bible.
Divine Designs: Between the Covers celebrates creativity and innovation, and seeks to promote a greater visual awareness and understanding of the Bible today.
Artists, graphic designers and illustrators interested in entering the competition must be resident in the United Kingdom and aged 18 years or over as of 31 December 2026. To help those entering, and to ensure that all books are chosen, the organisers encourage artists to register their interest and the book, or books, that they would like to design by 31 July 2026 at 5pm. The recommendation is that this is done as early as possible.
(The deadline for art is not till September)

Northern friends and those over the border in the land of Haggis and bagpipes... Anyone heading to Solas Festival this weekend?
We're heading up, (me and the fam, not technically Inclusive Church ) for our first time. Hoping it's as good as it looks with fewer midgies than we fear!
If anyone's been before, I'm a folkie, is it a "bring an instrument" kinda festival or more a chillax and listen thing?
Pic of me with said instrument... (One of them)
If you see me do say hello!

We've been really enjoying seeing so many of you attending your local Pride events and showing that God loves everyone, just as we are. With no footnotes or caveats, or hoops for you to jump through to prove your worth.
We'd love you to send us some pics or share them below, tagging us in them, so we can do creative and colourful with them!
Happy Pride y'all, keep on flying those colours.
Great resource here from Transfigured Mission :)
Thanks y'all!
Happy Pride 😀

I love this company, their ethos, products, commitment to representation and inclusivity. (Do check them out, they're fab!) This post from them yesterday caught my eye.
It says: "you are welcome here* unless you come with words of hatred or bigotry... then we reserve the right to remove you"
As Inclusive Christians we can often receive a lot of pretty heavy abuse and hatred, which is horrible. Sometimes I think we feel we have to simply take it and allow people to splurge their opinions at us, however there can be a cost to this, and harm can be caused.
I'm aware that with Inclusive Church making a conscious effort to increase our online presence and reach, we are being seen by more people and thus attracting more attention from those who do not share our theology. Many of whom very much seem to enjoy commenting on our posts, in case we forgot that some disagree...
(Bless them.)
We want to be a space where dialogue and learning can happen, but we also do not want harm, trauma or fear to be experienced by our followers and members.
We will try to not 'feed the trolls' and block/hide as necessary, but are trying not to be too trigger happy with that, as we always hope there might be the possibility of a softening of attitude!
However, self-care and pastoral care of our community is our priority, if you feel we're not getting the balance right or someone starts to target you more directly, please do let us know. Take screenshots. Record it. There are laws in place to protect and prevent this behaviour, which we perhaps need to realise we can use.
Have a great day! And thanks Molke for your witness and work :)
The horrible news of late has felt relentless. There’s always something to be angry about or scared of. The world can be full of hatred and it’s hard not to be impacted by this. We can’t sit in silence while people’s homes are burned, businesses are terrorised, and people are even more scared to walk down the street for fear of what might happen to them.
The fires of racism, bigotry, hatred and violence have been stoked by the people who profit from disinformation and fear (including politicians and social media). Their words and actions have hurt many. Something needs to be done about this.
We are proud of the diversity of this country and we stand with people feeling fear for their communities. We hope our little corner of the internet can be a kind and positive space for anyone who needs it.
So we’re putting it here in black and white. You are welcome here.*
*unless you come here with words of hatred or bigotry… then we reserve the right to remove you.
