At this free family drop-in coinciding with the May Charter Fair on Saturday 16th May, children will draw and learn about the amazing animals of Nonsuch Park. Then they’ll craft and decorate animal bookmarks to take home! This much-loved Tudor park hosts important species of birds and minibeasts, and historically it has been home to deer, sheep and many more.

Family participation is encouraged and parents/guardians are asked to stay with their children while they draw and craft. Local arts educator Mark Pembrey will be present throughout the session to help and chat about the animals.

No booking required. Just turn up.

This workshop is provided as part of Quickdraw History Comics, a programme of historically-themed comic drawing workshops at Whitehall Historic House, supported by the London Borough of Sutton Neighbourhood Fund. Look out for more free Quickdraw History Comics events throughout 2026.

Delighted to hear one of my Year 3 pupils at , Can Kaymaz, has been selected for the Royal Academy Young Artists Summer Show, viewable online from 14th July! Well done, Can, for creating this thoughtful and original piece. Submitting for exhibitions is such a great thing to do.
