Day so far...
Met the demands of one wee feline step-daughter at the crack of dawn, tea, showered, put on a wash, to-do list in head seemed achievable, took same demanding fur-baby on a Sunday Stroll, watched her watch a wall, smell flowers & try run away from me when it was time to go in...
Cooked a mini fry, f*cked up the eggs, hanger snuck up & bit my bottom, ate half & cried...

Next step...better lie down...

How's your Sunday so far...😅💛

Some times, dropping the mental lists and just taking a nap or a pause is what is required of you right there & then...listen to your body 💚💛

Be kind & pace yourself, take one step at a time. You will find the courage that's in you to do what you need to do 💕

So ever have a week where you don't know if you're coming or going, if you're okay or not okay, an "I've SO much to do today but first I need to nap" kinda vibes week...🙋‍♀️

It's easy to get caught up on things that makes you feel overwhelmed, under appreciated, and even if it's worth continuing a passion...
It can feel so silly to then get mad or break down in tears because the bus got stuck in traffic or the lid didn't close on the coffee cup properly, but I've always thought, it doesn't change the fact that you felt those feelings and it did impact you at the time.

So I'm trying to be more self aware and I'm going to embrace it, accept it and be okay feeling those feelings and try not feel so guilty when I do.
Remembering that some things take longer than others. Some times results can vary from a little to a lot. Be it starting sales to a couple of weeks in, to managing a work/life balance or to even just acknowledge that actually today, 'Alice, you just need to chill, guilt free' and enjoy it!

Today at work, for the first time in a while, I actually felt like I helped people choose their perfect pair of specs. I was content and proud that my input made someone else confident & delighted with the final decision. Then I got to pet a beautiful doggo called Rocco & I put braids in my hair. Something so small can make a massive difference to your day. It can take time to see & feel the the difference, but it will come and probably when you least expect it 😌💛

Today's sleepy wee helper, Luna. Her way to make sure I'm doing a good job is by plopping herself right in the middle of what I'm doing...Close inspection 😅
And yes, you do see a jar of Sudocremin the background that came to my aid earlier. Let's just say Glue Gun 1, Alice 0 🙈 Finished product though 👌💛🤭
