Depth Action Organization (DAO) in partnership with IOM through the generous support provided by USA Government distributed 500 Hygiene Kits package for the affected families in Tawilla- North Darfur state

Depth Action Organization (DAO) has signed a partnership agreement with UNICEF to implement the Improving Foundational Literacy Skills among Primary School Children project in Kassala and Gedaref states, with generous support from the World Bank!

The project targets 380 schools and 760 teachers, aiming to contribute to sustainable development in Sudan.

We appreciate the support from UNICEF and the World Bank for this vital project! Looking forward to improving literacy skills for primary school children in Kassala and Gedaref.

"We're thrilled to share that children in Tawilla locality, Darfur, are getting back to learning thanks to a project implemented by Depth Action Organization (DAO) in partnership with and !

The project is providing crucial support to children affected by conflict, offering them a chance to resume their education in a safe environment.

Activities include:
✅ Awareness sessions to promote education
✅ Enrollment campaigns to get kids back in school
✅ Trainings for teachers on MHPSS, ALP, and EiE

Targeting IDP children from Elfasher in gathering sites, we're working to ensure every child has access to quality education.

Exciting updates! We're establishing 25 new ALP centers to accommodate more children, distributing education and recreational supplies, and promoting indoor and outdoor activities.

Depth Action Organization (DAO), in partnership with UNICEF and in collaboration with the Ministry of Education in North Darfur, is implementing the Education in Emergency initiative by supporting Safe Learning Spaces (SLS) for the most affected children during the current crisis in Sudan.

More than 30,000 children from different age groups are benefiting from this project interventions and receiving mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) for GBV survivors, educational supplies, and opportunities for learning and strengthening relationships with their peers. Additionally, the program supports outdoor activities and child clubs to help develop the skills of children and adolescents.
