Absa Bank Seychelles and the Seychelles Golf Federation hosted the 2026 Absa National Golf Open on 26 and 27 September at Constance Lemuria Resort, bringing together golfers from across the country to compete for national honours in an event that continues to showcase the growth, inclusivity and enduring appeal of the sport.

The two-day tournament delivered memorable moments on and off the course, culminating in a dramatic playoff between Yves Emond and Adrian Andrade. After finishing level on 59 points, Edmond emerged victorious to claim the title of 2026 Absa National Golf Open Champion.

The weekend also featured the September edition of the coveted Absa Mug, where Lesley Barron delivered an exceptional performance to claim the trophy with 41 points. Barron also secured Longest Drive on Hole 3, Best Day One and First Prize Net, automatically earning her place among the contenders for the 2027 McQueen Medal.
