أرملة جميلة لديها بنت فائقة الجمال، كثيرون تقدّموا لخطبتها لكن الأم حدّدت مَهرها بِ ٥٠٠ ألف دولار، ولم يستطِع أحدٌ من دفع هذا المَهر، والأم لا تقبل بالتنازل سنتاً واحدا.
وقع أحد الشباب بغرام تلك الفتاة، ولمّا عَرِفَ بقيمة المهر، جمع كلّ ما يملك حتى وصل المبلغ إلى ٣٠٠ ألف دولار. أخبر والده برغبته بالزواج من تلك الفتاة، وأخبره أيضاً عن شرط أم الفتاة وأنه لا يملك إلّا هذا المبلغ، قال له والده: لا بأس هات المبلغ ولنذهب إلى تلك المرأة، قال الإبن: ولكنّها لن تقبل بأقل من ٥٠٠ ألف دولار مَهراً لابنتِها، ردّ الأب: تعالَ معي واترك الأمر لي. أخذوا موعداّ وذهبوا إلى بيت الفتاة. بعد السّلام والكلام، قال الأب لأم الفتاة: أتمنى ألّا تقاطعيني حتى أنهي كلامي، إبني يريد أن يتزوّج ابنتكِ وهذه ١٠٠ ألف دولار مَهرها، الأم بإنزعاج: ولكن... قال الأب: قلت لكِ لا تقاطعيني حتى أنهي كلامي، ثم قال: وهذه ١٠٠ ألف دولار ثانية مهراً لكِ لتكوني زوجةً لي، إبتسمت الأم إبتسامة عريضة وقالت بحياء: إتفقنا على بركة الله مبارك لنا ولكم. ولمّا سأل الجيران الأب كيف تنازلت الأم عن المهر المحدّد ردّ: سعر الجملة يختلف عن سعر المفرّق. ولمّا سأل الشاب أباه عن ١٠٠ ألف دولار الباقية قال له: نُرضي بها أمّك.
ملاحظة ونصيحة: إدارة الأزمات والمواقف الحرِجة تحتاج إلى قائد مُحنّك.
