#المصمك أو المسمك أي البناء المرتفع وسميك الحصن، وقصر المصمك هو عبارة عن حصن مشيّد من اللبن، يقع في منتصف #الرياض عاصمة السعودية وتحديداً في حيّ #الديرة، وقد بني القصر على يد الأمير عبد الرحمن بن ضبعان عام 1895م، وذلك عند توليه إمارة الرياض في عهد محمد عبد الله الرشيد، وشكّل المصمك مسرحاً لمعركة فتح الرياض التي وقعت بين كلّ من سعود وآل رشيد عام 1902م، وبهذه المعركة تمكّن آل سعود من استعادة مدينة الرياض لحكمهم، وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن آثار المعركة لا زالت موجودة حتى الوقت الحالي على باب القصر، متمثلة في سنة الرمح الذي قتل فيه عامل بن رشيد في مدينة الرياض، وهو ابن عجلان.
