If your learners are making errors or mistakes then, yes, you should use your judgement to highlight these and offer a solution.
And to do this, it makes sense not to simply ‘fix’ mistakes – why not upgrade the language at the same time? Help them work towards the next level.
This way, not only are you providing them with error correction, but you are also scaffolding them to more advanced use of language. And this, ultimately, is an aim in exam classes: improve their language use, improve their chances of a higher grade.
