PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE FOR THE 44TH ANNIVERSARY OF OWWA

It is an honor for the entire leadership of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) to receive President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s greetings in celebration of our 44th anniversary, Road to 50 Years.

In his message, President Bongbong Marcos recognized ’s role in advancing the welfare of OFWs—from deployment to reintegration—as well as its ongoing response to challenges and crises, including operations in the Middle East.

As we continue to serve and approach our 50th year, our commitment to remains strong for every OFW and their families.

Repatriation Update | April 14 & 16 2026

A total of 50 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) were successfully repatriated from Riyadh to the Philippines via Cebu Pacific 5J 741.

The Migrant Workers Office (MWO) – Riyadh and the Overseas Workers Welfare Office (OWWO) – Riyadh extended full assistance to ensure the workers’ safe and smooth departure back to the Philippines.

This initiative reflects the government’s continued commitment to protect and support the welfare of OFWs, especially during times of need.

Repatriation Update | April 9, 2026

A total of 80 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) were successfully repatriated from Riyadh to the Philippines.

The Migrant Workers Office (MWO) – Riyadh and the Overseas Workers Welfare Office (OWWO) – Riyadh extended full assistance to ensure the workers’ safe and smooth departure back to the Philippines.

This initiative reflects the government’s continued commitment to protect and support the welfare of OFWs, especially during times of need.

𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗡𝗔𝗡: 60 OFWs mula sa Riyadh Saudi Arabia ang nakauwi na sa Pilipinas.

Lulan ng Cebu Pacific Flight 5J 741, matagumpay na narepatriate ang ating mga kababayan mula sa King Khalid International Airport sa Riyadh nitong April 7, 2026. Sila ay sinalubong ng mga kawani ng DMW at OWWA sa NAIA Terminal 3 upang matiyak ang kanilang ligtas at maayos na pagdating.

Ang patuloy na repatriation at welfare assistance na ito ay alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., na tiyaking matulungan ang lahat ng OFWs na apektado ng krisis sa Middle East at mabigyan ng nararapat na suporta mula sa pamahalaan.

Sa kasalukuyan, umabot na sa 748 OFWs ang napauwi mula sa Riyadh sa pamamagitan ng pinagsamang pagsisikap ng MWO at OWWA Riyadh. Mahigit 3,600 na rin ang nabigay na iba’t ibang serbisyo, kabilang ang temporary accommodation, hygiene kits, food assistance, at airport assistance para sa mga apektadong manggagawa.
