Bishop Aldrin de Veyra Palanca: A Journey of Faith and Ministry
Bishop Aldrin Palanca's life and ministry were deeply influenced by his guiding scripture from 2 Timothy 4:17-18, a truth that resonated with him especially during his time in the Middle East.
Bishop Aldrin Palanca was born on October 13, 1972, during the Martial Law era, into a devoutly religious Catholic family. He was the youngest of seven siblings. His unwavering devotion to God led him to aspire to become a priest, and he began his service as a sacristan at the San Felipe Neri Parish in Mandaluyong.
His calling to the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch) came when he was in high school at the age of 14, under the guidance of Pastor Tim Ferriol. At just 15 years old, he dedicated himself and became the first youth sacrifice in Mandaluyong.
In 1989, he fully committed himself to ministry and started his journey as a janitor in the Marikina sanctuary, under the supervision of Bishop Art Ferriol. He took on various roles, including guard, librarian, car washer, and construction worker in the MCS Office of Evangelist Let, and served as a janitor in the Apostle's office for a long time.
His potential was recognized when he was appointed as a permanent preacher in Cubao, a rare distinction for a first-year Bible student, as it was reserved for the graduating class only.
During his time in Bible School, he excelled as the class president and Student Body President. He graduated as the Last Speaker, the highest honor in the MBSI.
While serving as a pastor in San Pedro, Laguna, he successfully led the Church in acquiring a church building and overcame a preaching ban imposed by the town's mayor. Eventually, the mayor granted him permission to preach anywhere in the area.
In 2006, he took on the responsibility of coordinating the Panay Island District Churches, where he faced threats from the leader of the NPA. However, he was able to gain their trust and even served as his guard during his preaching visits to the mountains of Libacao and Maliao, Tapaz Capiz.
He also faced persecution from Catholics in Kalibo Cemetery, but the priest responsible for the persecution eventually went insane. The persecution lessened when he built strong relationships with the Mayor and Governor of Aklan.
As the youngest head pastor and coordinator in Marikina, he successfully led the main church. In 2004, he married Presbyter Elleza Lazaro, who became his confidant and ministry partner. During his term as the Head Pastor in Marikina, he organized the Senakulo performance on a larger scale at the Marikina river bank, attracting an audience of 5,000. He was also directed by Apostle Arsenio T. Ferriol to register the Dalaw Kalinga Foundation and became its first chairman.
His global mission started in Bangladesh, where he successfully converted Baptist pastor Benjamin Biswas and two congregations in the villages of Kewachala.
Beginning in 2008, as the Middle East District Coordinator and Head Pastor of Dubai, he transformed Dubai from a mere extension of Abu Dhabi into a local church. Despite the challenging and often hostile environment, he fearlessly organized programs such as Personal Evangelism, Crusades, camps, and conferences, including those within Saudi Arabia.
As a dedicated church planter, he initiated the establishment of two churches during his time as a Bible student. When he took on the role of coordinator in the Middle East in 2008, he played a significant role in adding 31 churches to the area, with 15 of them personally pioneered by him.
Due to his exceptional achievements and unwavering loyalty to the apostle and the church, he was ordained as the 6th Bishop during the 24th International Convention in 2013, becoming the youngest bishop in the Church.
Continuing his dedicated service, he is also involved in media and print ministry. In 2017, he introduced "The Word Today" program and the Life Watch program, while continuing to write as a columnist for The Word Magazine.
Currently, Bishop Aldrin Palanca oversees the Middle East, UK, and Europe Region, which stands as a testament to the ongoing work of God in his life and ministry.
In addition to his responsibilities as a head pastor, Area Coordinator, Regional Overseer, and member of the Church Council, he has chaired multiple committees in the Church, including Evangelism & Discipleship, Music Media & IT, Ordination Committee, and the sub-committee of Task Force Gold, known as the Task Force Blue.

This is the commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ to go to all the world. Preach the Good News to all people and baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. And make them a disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ. Teach them to TRUST in the Lord and not lean on our understanding.
