Happening now in Rwanda: PwC Nigeria clients are on a 3‑day offshore executive retreat, facilitated by PwC Rwanda and PwC Nigeria.
Yesterday’s session focused on learning from Rwanda’s real‑world VAT journey and electronic invoicing system – a powerful example of how tax reform succeeds through ex*****on, not just legislation.
As part of the 100‑day post‑tax reform strategy dialogue, we are:
- unpacking input VAT complexities
- assessing early compliance challenges & revenue outcomes
- reflecting on Nigeria’s evolving tax landscape through cross‑country learning
Thoughtful implementation, evidence‑based choices, and shared experience are key to sustainable revenue mobilisation and economic growth.

Last Friday, at the second edition of the CFO East Africa Summit held in Rwanda, Ngunjiri delivered a compelling keynote on agility in uncertain times, reflecting the evolving role of CFOs across sectors. He highlighted that agility is not about abandoning control, but about maintaining it while moving as fast as the environment demands.
His insights strongly resonated with the themes emerging from the panel sessions and roundtable discussions throughout the summit. As the principal sponsor, PwC Rwanda was proud to reaffirm its commitment to thought leadership and to shaping conversations that matter for business and finance leaders across the region.

As we continue to honour the memory of the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, PwC Rwanda visited the Kicukiro Nyanza Genocide Memorial.
During the visit, we laid flowers in tribute to the lives lost, learned about the history of the site, and walked through the Garden of Memory. This powerful experience offered a meaningful reflection on Rwanda’s painful past and its remarkable journey towards the nation we know today.
The visit reaffirmed our solidarity with the community as we renew our collective commitment to say Never Again, and to educate present and future generations on the importance of peace, unity, and our shared humanity.
