PERFORMANCE BECOMES A WORD FROM A LETTER
Towards the end of this decade of change, Nissan has built a solid reputation on the US and Japanese markets.
PUSH THE LIMITS. BUILD A REPUTATION
1970-1979
The 70s were a great decade for us. We sold our millionth Datsun and this model has become the most imported vehicle in the United States. In 1974 the Nissan Science Foundation was born.
BUILD ROOTS IN AMERICA
1980-1989
In the 80s, the Nissan brand took off. We built our first Nissan truck in the US and the Infiniti luxury vehicle lineup.
AGILITY IN THE 90'S
1990-1999
Nissan demonstrates its agility by retaining Nissan's legacy while taking new directions. The cumulative production exceeds 30 million units.
IN THE LAST DECADE, A CHANGE HAS OPERATED
2000-2009
Nissan has almost doubled the number of models offered and its sales almost doubled. In 10 years, the diversified range has expanded to include Nissan's first large format truck, the all-new hybrid technology and a 21st century super car. And this is just the beginning of what is coming.
