Our community is called to serve and love Jesus alongside the most vulnerable, seeking to sustain abundant life for women and their families in the urban neighborhoods of Kigali.

In a city developing as rapidly as ours, the physical landscapes we serve in are often temporary. Many of the neighborhoods our friends call home are subject to redevelopment and relocation projects.

Yet, by God's provision we remain constant. Since 2022, when our former neighborhood of Kangondo was demolished, we have been deeply thankful for our community center in the new area where most of our friends relocated. Having this dedicated space has allowed us to remain a steady presence—gathering consistently for Bible study and savings groups, hosting Umucyo Club meetings, and continuing the vital work of visiting our friends in their homes.

The gospel; not just a message to be heard, but a life to be shared; especially with those in the margins.

Throughout the Scriptures, God has commanded His people to care for the poor among them. In the Old Testament, God instructed the people of Israel to open their hands to their poor brothers and sisters and to give to them freely (Deuteronomy 15:4–11).

For Christians today, Scripture remains clear: “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”

We are delighted that God has provided our community with local gospel partners. As 2025 came to a close, we gathered together to discover God’s heart for the poor according to Scripture and to strengthen our shared mission for the year ahead.

Small steps, big impact.
At Word Made Flesh Rwanda, we believe transformation happens holistically. Through our Dufatanye program, we’ve watched these women support one another, save diligently, and collectively surpass the 2 million RWF mark.
Seeing them receive their interest wasn't just about the money—it was about the confidence and dignity that comes with working towards a purpose.

Our savings group is more than finacial, it is spiritual. Togather we learn to steward God's provision, plan with wisdom, and build a future rooted in faith.

**Umucyo Bible Study Club**

In 2024, we had the privilege of serving Jesus alongside over 70 children! Every month, we gather to study the Bible, pray together, and share snacks. Additionally, whenever there is a need—whether for clothes, shoes, school supplies, or simply someone to listen—Word Made Flesh Rwanda Community is there to help.

Your ongoing support, whether financial, through prayer, or in other forms of donations, has been instrumental in reaching these children with the Gospel. May the Lord bless you for your obedience to Him!

A child’s humility, trust, and innocence are qualities we all must embrace if we belong to the kingdom of God, as our Lord taught.

Sadly, the effects of sin can strip these precious qualities from children in our communities. But at Word Made Flesh Rwanda Community, we believe every child deserves a place to belong. We build friendships with children living in vulnerable conditions, providing a sense of belonging and community. Our hope is that they will learn and believe the gospel, and one day, make disciples of Jesus in their families and communities. This is our long-term commitment.
