Florida, 26, proves the need to equip youth with life-changing skills.

🍲 When families have food on the table, children thrive.

Working with Imbaraga Farmers Organization, Plan International Rwanda has established 3 greenhouses to empower 102 local farmers - 60 women & 42 men - in Nyaruguru, Gatsibo & Bugesera districts to adopt climate-resilient agriculture for food security.

Plan International Rwanda staff today visited the Kiziguro Genocide Memorial in GatsiboDistrict to commemorate the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

We learned about the tragic history of the genocide, listened to survivors’ testimonies, and laid wreaths in honour of the victims.

Yesterday, with our partner IMBARAGA Farmers Organization, we hosted the Ministry of Agriculture & Animal Resources delegation led by Permanent Secretary Olivier KAMANA for a visit to the hydroponic greenhouse in Bugesera District, a newly established, climate-resilient agricultural facility for a 30-member youth cooperative.

Under the "Future is Green! Promoting Youth Agri-Preneurship in Rwanda Project", this hydroponic greenhouse will enable young local farmers to withstand shifting environmental conditions and increase their harvests while using fewer resources.

💧 Creating a hygiene shield for children 👶

In partnership with Caritas Rwanda, 115 home-based Early Childhood Development ( ) centres are equipped with handwashing facilities, soap, and clean water to prevent diseases and create healthier spaces for children to grow.
