Ibyumweru by’iyi minsi, Kiliziya yizihiza Umunsi Mukuru w’Igaragazwa ry’Imana (Epiphany). Kuri uyu munsi mukuru, Kristo yaje ku Ruzi rwa Yorodani kugira ngo abatizwe na Yohani Umubatiza. Igihe Yohani yamubonaga, yaravuze ati:
“Mwami, sinakwiriye no kurekura imishumi y’inkweto zawe. Ese ni wowe uje kubatizwa nanjye?”
Ariko Umwami wacu Yezu aramubwira ati: “Reka bibe bityo ubu.”

Maze Roho Mutagatifu amanuka ameze nk’inuma, amutura kuri Kristo, humvikana ijwi riturutse mu ijuru rivuga riti:
“Uyu ni Umwana wanjye nkunda, anejeje.”

Naduhabwe n’Umwami wacu Yezu urugero, ko binyuze mu mubatizo mba umwana we, kandi Imana ikaba Data.

The Church celebrates the Feast of Epiphany these days. On this feast, Christ came to the Jordan River to be baptized by John the Baptist. When John saw Him, he said,
“Lord, I am not worthy to loosen the straps of Your sandals. Are You coming to be baptized by me?”
But our Lord Jesus said to him, “Permit it now.”

Then the Holy Spirit descended like a dove and rested upon Christ, and a voice was heard from heaven saying,
“This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

May our Lord Jesus Himself give us an example that through baptism I become His child, and God becomes my Father.

Thank You, Lord, for this year.
You have done all things for good, and I trust in Your goodness.
Please, God, renew my heart ❤️ and guide me in Your way.
Amen.

Mana, ndagushimiye kuri uyu mwaka.
Wakoze ibintu byose bigira icyiza, kandi nizera ineza Yawe.
Ndakwinginze Mana, vugurura umutima wanjye ❤️ kandi unyobore mu nzira Yawe.
Amen.

For He who is mighty has done great things for me.”
These were the words spoken by the Virgin Mary when she went to visit Elizabeth in her home, to serve her during her pregnancy, because Elizabeth was advanced in age and could not take care of herself at that time.
Dreams are not far away—God is able to fulfill them if they are for your good. Pray, and trust.
(Luke 1:49)

Kuko Umunyabushobozi yankoreye ibintu bikomeye.”
Aya magambo yayavuzwe na Bikira Mariya igihe yagiye gusura Elizabeti mu rugo rwe kugira ngo amufashe mu gihe yari atwite, kuko Elizabeti yari ageze mu zabukuru kandi atashoboraga kwiyitaho muri icyo gihe.
Inzozi si kure—Imana irashoboye kuzuza inzozi niba ari ibyiza kuri wowe. Senga kandi wizere.
(Luka 1:49)

Fellowship with Jesus is never impossible. When He calls you, He also gives you the strength to follow Him. Just like the man who came to the Lord and asked, “What shall I do to inherit eternal life?” — Jesus invited him to follow Him. And as our Lord said, “With God all things are possible.”
So simply believe, for the King is with you

Ubana na Yesu ntibishoboka ko biba ibintu bidashoboka. Iyo aguhamagaye, aguha n’imbaraga zo kumukurikira. Nk’uriya mugabo waje aho Umwami ari akamubaza ati: “Nakora iki ngo mbone ubugingo buhoraho?” — Yesu yamutumye kumukurikira. Kandi nk’uko Umwami wacu yavuze ati: “Imana ishobora byose.”
Nuko rero wizere gusa, kuko Umwami ari kumwe nawe.

“And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.” (Luke 14:27)
Lord, grant me to see You before me every day—
You, the first bearer of the Cross—
and You are calling me now to walk in Your footsteps
and to be like You.
Kandi uwo udashaka kwikorera umusaraba we ngo ankurikire, ntashobora kuba umwigishwa wanjye.” (Luka 14:27)
Mana, mpa kukubona imbere yanjye buri munsi—
Wowe wabaye uwa mbere kwikorera Umusaraba—
kandi none urampamagara gukurikira inzira yawe
no kuba nk’Uwawe.

Today marks the beginning of the Nativity Fast in the Church, preparing our hearts for the feast of our Lord Jesus’ birth—just as our mother St. Mary waited for her Son and King to be born. May God bless everyone and fill the world with peace and love
