Fabrice is a sweet and intelligent boy. In class, Fabrice enjoys drawing and coloring. On the playground, he loves playing traditional children's games with his friends. He's a dog lover. Fabrice is the youngest of six children. His family is struggling financially. His parents rent land to grow food for their family and to sell. The family rents a two-room mud house.

At Hope Haven Rwanda, transformation doesn’t just happen in the classroom—it begins in the home.

Through the Family Department, we are reminded that God’s design for impact is not dependency, but dignity. Instead of simply giving handouts, families are invited into something greater.

Parents become active participants in their child’s future by working, learning, and growing alongside them. Hundreds of parents serve on campus in roles like farming, teaching, and construction, contributing toward school fees while gaining skills and income to support their households.

But the impact goes even deeper.

Through home visits, discipleship, and training in areas like financial stewardship, hygiene, and trauma recovery, families are strengthened from the inside out. This holistic, Christ-centered approach doesn’t just change one child’s story—it transforms entire families and builds a stronger Rwanda for generations to come.

This is what it looks like when faith meets action.

Meet Nadine. ✨

She's 13 years old, the youngest of four children, and she is determined to become a doctor. Growing up with her mother, a cleaner earning a modest wage, life has never been easy. Basic needs are a daily struggle. But Nadine never let hardship define her.

When Hope Haven Christian School visited her district searching for bright students from vulnerable families, Nadine sat the entry exam, gave it everything she had — and passed. 🎉

Today, she's thriving in class, known for her discipline and focus. She loves Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. She plays football in her free time. And she carries a dream in her heart that refuses to be small. "This chance has brought hope to my life and to my family."

A typical school day at Hope Haven looks a little different. 📚

By lower secondary, our students are studying physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, entrepreneurship, and multiple languages.

But it's not just about what they know. It's about how they think. Our teachers use inquiry-based learning and problem-solving so students genuinely internalize concepts instead of just memorizing them.

Then there's chapel. Scripture. Mentoring. The kind of formation that shapes who a person becomes, not just what they can do. This is a movement creating global Christian leaders.

Elite education isn't about who's welcome. At Hope Haven, everyone is welcome. Elite is the standard we hold for every single student. 🙌🏽

This Sunday, we are reminded that our hope is rooted in something greater than our circumstances. Through every challenge and every season of waiting, God calls us to remain steadfast, trusting in His goodness and faithfulness.
