Earlier today, the IGIRA KU MURIMO UHANGE AKAZI program held an extraordinary Technical Meeting Committee. The objective was about the dissemination of Mid-Term Evaluation findings of the program. The consultant who run the evaluation displayed the data confirming that, in general, the program has successfully reached its targets as planned. This TMC was opened officially by APEFE and closed by MIFOTRA.

In partnership with MIFOTRA and RICEM, from 5 to 7 February, we are conducting a 3 days' workshop to harmonize entrepreneurship training methodologies. Practical exercises are being experimented with Master Trainers to ensure a proper skills transfer to young TVET graduates.

Yesterday, in partnership with APEFE, Musanze District conducted its JOBFAIR@Fatima Hotel, with a participation of 600 job seekers & 40 potential Employers. The Guest of Honor was the Mayor of Musanze, who thanked APEFE for its financial and technical support. 120 job seekers were selected for training by different partners, 14 secured jobs. The other important Partners of Musanze in this event were MIFOTRA, PSF, GIZ. The APEFE KC&ME Expert, Mr. Theogene Mugisha, attended this event on behalf of APEFE Rwanda.

Last week, in collaboration with MIFOTRA and RICEM, 126 apprentices arrived at RICEM for a 5-day entrepreneurship training session, that started on 9 December, 2024 and ended on 13 December, 2024.

Yesterday, December 12th, the City of Kigali conducted its 14th JOBNET event @ Kigali Cultural and Exhibition Village (KCEV). The Guest of Honor was the Lord Mayor of CoK, who thanked APEFE for its financial and technical support. The other important Partner of CoK in this event was MIFOTRA, in charge of Employment countrywide. The APEFE Intervention Manager, Mr. Hubert Kagabo, attended this event on behalf of APEFE Rwanda.

This week, from 2 to 6 December, we are at Hill View Hotel-Rubavu District in annual planning retreat.
All the key partners of IGIRA KU MURIMO UHANGE AKAZI program are attending, including public Organizations, private sector Associations & Specialized Cluster, and Specialized Organizations such as NUDOR, RICEM, Chancen International, etc.
The opening remarks were made by Eric HUBY, APEFE Program Administrator.
The main objective of this retreat is prioritizing the 2025 interventions based on 2024 best practices, lessons learnt & challenges.

We wrapped up the 3-day Portfolio Revision Workshop organized by Apefe Rwanda in partnership with TQUM under Rwanda Polytechnic (RP) ,for the In Company Instructor Trainers at Splendid Hotel, in Muhanga district.
A total of 28 In-company trainers from food processing, leather technology, tailoring/fashion and beauty trades have updated their portfolios to meet RP standards.The next step in the process is the issuance of certificates, which will be granted following validation by RP.
Hubert Kagabo, Intervention Manager at APEFE Rwanda, emphasized in his closing remarks the importance of applying the knowledge gained during the workshop.
He thanked the TQUM project under Rwanda Polytechnic for its valuable facilitation in this Workshop and urged participants to take responsibility by sharing their expertise with fellow Rwandans and supporting young people joining their companies for Workplace Learning (WPL).

At Splendid Hotel-Muhanga District, APEFE Rwanda, in collaboration with the TQUM team under RP, has launched a 3-day Portfolio Revision Workshop for ICI Trainers, from 27th to 29th November 2024. During this workshop, trainers are updating their portfolios to meet RP standards and qualify for temporary certification. This initiative not only enhances their in-company training skills but also prepares them to obtain a certificate of competence after successfully completing practical assessments in companies. These trainers are coming from the program's supported-trades.

We ended our Business of Fashion Workshop yesterday. Hosted by APEFE Rwanda, Argile, & Kuza Africa, participants delved into design, branding, production and entrepreneurship.
The event ended with an exciting pitching session, rewarding 5 top ideas/businesses.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Hubert Kagabo, APEFE Rwanda Intervention Manager, encouraged participants to leverage the Kuza partnership and mentorship opportunities to elevate their businesses to the next level.
