Today, we honor the memory of the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

We stand in solidarity with survivors while reflecting on the resilience and strength that have shaped Rwanda's journey of rebuilding.

As we commemorate, we take time to reflect, learn from history, and continue our commitment to building a future grounded in Unity and peace.

✨ Meet Mounira, Co-founder of Moun.rw ✨

What started as a small venture in candles and home décor is now a lifestyle brand with a greener mission: “Déchets to Décor” (Waste to Décor).

An architect and creative entrepreneur, Mulisa Mounira transformed her passion for designing into a lifestyle brand that creates Made-in-Rwanda home decor and candles.

Her journey was shaped through the FabWomen program, where she explored digital crafting tools, gaining both technical skills and business insights. What began as a simple experiment, such as making a wooden key holder from leftover Gakinjiro wood, sparked the vision of turning waste into beautiful, purposeful décor.

Today, .rw has grown from a small online venture into a venture that promotes sustainable design, showing that Rwanda can create locally what is often imported.

From robotics basics to programming, innovation projects, and teamwork, our Fab Young Makers (ages 5–17) experienced an exciting journey of learning and discovery. Over the course of one month and two weeks, 22 bright students explored the world of robotics, gaining hands-on skills in coding, robot design, problem-solving, and critical thinking. They collaborated closely in teams, developed real-world innovation projects, practiced pitching their ideas, and took on weekly challenges and demonstrations. Each step of the program strengthened their creativity, confidence, and ability to work together while fostering a growth mindset and passion for technology. Students showcased their robots and innovation projects, celebrating not only their technical achievements but also their teamwork, perseverance, and curiosity. We are incredibly proud of these young changemakers and the skills, confidence, and inspiration they carry forward to shape a tech-driven future.
