DuHope
Empowering women in Rwanda to leave survival sex work by creating dignified jobs.
Thousands of Rwandan women are trapped in survival sex work because of generational poverty. DuHope provides counseling, spiritual development, and vocational training so women can break free from the cycle of poverty, heal from trauma, and live empowered lives.

"It was the first time anyone had ever celebrated my birthday."
Masengesho is a mother of four who came to DuHope in March 2024 searching for a way forward. Today, she's a DuHope artisan with her first bank account, and every evening, she goes home to her children.
One decision shaped her journey: "I decided that I would never go back to life on the streets."
Your support makes transformations like Masengesho's possible. When you give to DuHope, you're not just funding a program; you're helping a mother rewrite her story.

Meet Jennifer Ray
DuHope/Belay Global Board Chair
Jennifer is a CPA and serves as Chief Financial Officer at Oklahoma Christian University. She brings both experience and a thoughtful perspective to the board.
She first got connected to DuHope through her church and university community, when there was a need for someone with a finance background. Her university has also had a long-standing connection with Rwanda for over 20 years, which gave her a deeper understanding of the kind of work organizations like DuHope are doing.
Jennifer believes deeply in using what sheโs been given to serve others, especially women working toward stability, dignity, and new opportunities.
In this photo, sheโs wearing one of her favorite DuHope pieces: the Precious Necklace, a small reflection of the work sheโs part of supporting.
She now serves as Board Chair and leads the Finance Committee.
Say hello to Jennifer or drop a question for her below ๐

Before May ends, one more ask.
This month, you helped women like Agnes go from survival to stability. From fear to hope. From just getting by to actually building a future for her children.
If you've been considering a gift, today is the day.

And if you've already given, thank you. Truly. You are part of why this works.

Weโre making progress โ but weโre not there yet.
This May, help mothers in Rwanda!
We need $20,000 to keep our programs going. So far, supporters have helped raise $2,025 toward that goal. ๐
That leaves $17,975 still needed to help women in Rwanda continue building sustainable businesses, caring for their children, and creating new futures.
Every donation โ whether $25, $50, or $250 โ moves us closer.
Thank you for believing in hope, dignity, and transformation.

We're halfway through May, and we are so grateful.
Because of supporters like you, mothers in Rwanda are gaining job skills, receiving trauma counseling, and earning a sustainable income through DuHope. Real change is happening.
But there are still women waiting for that same opportunity.
If you've been thinking about giving this month, now is a great time to step in. Every dollar helps a mother move from survival to stability.

What will a mother do for her child? Everything.
Agnes knows this better than most. Before DuHope, she struggled daily just to provide for her family. Today, she runs her own small business, sends her children to school, and is saving for their future.
She told us, "Before DuHope, I struggled to survive. Today, I can work with dignity and even save for the future."
This Mother's Day, your gift can help another mother find that same turning point: job training, counseling, and real support for a woman choosing something different.
