Looking for a feature that is functional
These ideas work:
• Glass fermentation walls show the process and invite curiosity
• Chef’s counters create premium experiences and speed up service
• Movable partitions let you shift the atmosphere throughout the day
• Charging stations hidden in drawers add invisible comfort
Great design is about care. Guests return for taste, but they stay for surprise.

In Los Angeles, restaurants are evolving into places of mood, memory and connection.
The 2025 trend focuses on atmosphere. Lighting is soft, layered and sculptural. Interiors are immersive, blending design with experience. Greenery, tactile materials and fluid layouts create spaces where guests stay longer, engage more and disconnect from the outside world.
Bars become social stages. Open kitchens build connection. Design serves comfort and emotion.

Design is how emotion becomes space.

Your dining room shouldn’t have one mood, one function.
Flexibility in zoning can increase revenue by 20–30%
• Movable walls let you adjust for events without extra real estate.
• Layered lighting lets you shift from coffee mornings to romantic dinners.
• Multi-level seating adds privacy and atmosphere without extra square meters.
Restaurants that adapt fast, earn faster. Static layouts belong to the past.

Some spaces stay with you. You leave, but they stay in your mind. You tell friends, share photos, make plans to come back.
It becomes part of your story.

If guests wander, staff bump into each other, and lines form in the wrong places - something’s wrong.
• Guests should move like water, not queue like at customs.
• Zoning defines comfort.
• Sightlines matter: people sit where they feel safe, not exposed.
Plan the flow first. Then make it pretty.

What Really Matters in a Hotel Room?
Guests remember how a space made them feel.
Studies show the three most emotionally resonant elements in hotel rooms today are:
• The Bed Setup — Layered textures, quality pillows, and a headboard that feels solid and welcoming.
• The First Glance — What guests see in the first 5 seconds matters. Natural light, warm tones, and a tidy layout instantly build trust.
• The “Unseen” Comforts — A silent air system. Light switches that make sense. These small details create calm.
Tip for hoteliers: Design is not just about how a room looks. Ask what it feels like at midnight, at 7AM, in silence, in motion.

Open kitchens are trust in action.
Guests love seeing chefs at work: the rhythm, the fire, the precision. But open layouts must be planned with care.
• Ventilation must be silent and invisible.
• Lighting should flatter both food and movement.
• Materials should be heat- and stain-resistant, but beautiful.
A well-designed open kitchen builds confidence, creates theatre, and shortens the emotional distance between guest and chef.
In a business where transparency matters, the kitchen becomes part of the hospitality experience.

MEGRE INTERIORS is the Silver Winner of the 2023 Architecture Collection Awards for Orlovsky Bathhouse.
This project began with respect for the building’s history. The original layout was preserved and became the foundation for a new vision. Yuna Megre led the transformation by removing excess and enhancing the natural rhythm of the space, creating calm and flow throughout the bathhouse.
The concept followed the aesthetic of purity. Raw textures, natural materials and a restrained palette shaped every decision. Instead of adding, we focused on clarity. Light, proportions and soft transitions formed a space where being present feels effortless.
This award recognizes a project built on attention to detail, thoughtful choices and the kind of simplicity that connects people to place.

Contextual design builds spaces that belong to their location. It draws from local culture, history and craft to create a deeper guest connection.
Using regional materials like stone, tile or textiles reduces transport costs and strengthens the sense of place. Collaborating with local artisans for custom woodwork or ceramics adds layers of meaning and supports the community.
Subtle references to heritage through textures, patterns or visual storytelling keep the narrative present without overwhelming the space.
When cultural identity is considered at every scale, the interior becomes part of the destination, not just a backdrop.
