The Memorial Museum of Space Exploration (Musem of Cosmonautics) is located at the basement of a giant obelisk that represents a rocket and a trail it leaves behind. Faced with shiny titanium plaques, this monument is an attraction on its own right. The museum is truly unique, and has many authentic artifacts - the first Sputnik and a Vostok spacecraft, the first EVA suit and a Soyuz capsule, a life size walk-in exact model of the MIR space station and even Belka and Strelka, the first dogs who safely teavelled to space and back. The museum's collection is very well organized and gives you a good overview and understanding of the space exploration challenges.

With few restrictions and open borders. Russia’s tourist industry is picking up momentum. Christmas trees are gone, but holiday season decorations and skating rinks will stay throughout the winter. During a walking tour in late afternoon, one would always be tempted to take pictures at every turn!

GUM is a Russian acronym that stands for the State Universal Store, it's a historical mall located in Red Square opposite the Kremlin walls. GUM was built in 1893, it is a beautiful shopping arcade with three isles and three floors, occupying a whole block. Each season, GUM is beautifully decorated, the fanciest season being, or course, the Christmas. It's a must-see attraction, and a walk through GUM is included into a sightseeing tour of Moscow or a walking tour of the city center.

Visiting Moscow in October-November is not at all uncomfortable or boring and includes all the usual activities such a Radisson Boat ride - and if the weather is changing you get really dramatic photos! Starting from the pier near the Ukraine (Radisson Collection) Hotel, the boat cruises the Moscow River past all the key sights. The ride lasts for 2,5 hours and the onboard restaurant offers delicious food. Panoramic windows provide great views, and you can also step outside on the deck to make pictures and selfies.
