CINÉMA ENTRE NOUS
𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚 𝐆𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐚

What happens when the past refuses to stay buried?

At this year's Psarokokalo ISFF, we present "The Wolves Return" by Stelios Moraitidis (@stelios_moraitidis). On a snowy rural road, a group of people is confronted with a macabre finding: human remains scattered along an icy path. Everyone seems to be well aware of their origin, but nobody wants to reveal the secret the locals have been trying to forget.

A powerful allegory on collective memory, historical revisionism, and the way communities process past traumas to ensure social cohesion. Awarded Best Greek Film by the Greek Film Critics Association (PEKK) and having competed at the Tampere International Film Festival, the film delves into the darkest sides of human nature and the necessity of remembering.
